Nutritional Value
- Radishes are excellent source of vitamin c. It contains folate, fiber, riboflavin, and potassium, as well as good amounts of copper, vitamin B6.
- Radish have anticancer,, antifungal and improves digestive system as it contain high dietary fiber.
Storage and Uses
- Put unwashed radishes with their greens removed and wrap it with plastic bag with a folded paper towel . Put the bag in cool, moist place to keep it fresh for 1-2 weeks.
- Radishes are eaten raw in salads and can also be used in soups, stir-fries or can be added to cooked dishes, or steamed and served as a whole vegetable
- Radish is used to make Sinki and pickle.
Note
- The leaves of .radish are as nutritious as their root as radish greens are famous for ayurvedic cooking.
